AWS Free Credits

AWS Credits are coupons offered by the Amazon AWS activation programme which can be applied to activate various AWS services.

You can check through the credits section can be found under the account billing section. To get to the account section, click on the account name in the AWS console (top menu) and select “My Account.” In the account section, under billing, you can find the credits menu option and check your credits

AWS Activate is open to bootstrapped, self-funded, and funded startups up to and including Series A. Startups must have been founded within the last 10 years, and have a functioning website or public profile. Self-funded and bootstrapped startups not associated with an AWS Activate Provider may apply for AWS Activate Founders. Self-funded and funded startups (Pre-Seed, Angel, Seed, Debt Financing and Series A) affiliated with an AWS Activate Provider may apply for AWS Activate Portfolio.

Unfortunately, Startups building on AWS China Regions is not eligible for AWS Activate.

AWS credit awards are valid for one or two years from the date your AWS credits are issued. AWS support credits are valid for 1 year

After an AWS bill is finalized at the end of a billing cycle, the bill can’t be updated. This includes applying additional credits to your usage. Outstanding invoices on your account can be paid only with the payment method associated with your account.

If you need additional AWS Activate Credits, you must reapply through the AWS Activate program or check for any updated credit programs that might be available to your startup. Approval for additional credits is subject to AWS’s eligibility criteria and program terms.

You can track the usage of AWS Activate Credits by reviewing the billing reports in the AWS Billing and Cost Management Console. This section provides detailed information on how your credits are applied and how much has been used.

If you exceed your AWS credits limit, any additional usage will be billed at the standard AWS rates. It’s important to monitor your usage to avoid unexpected charges.
